So, I've seen some people do this and thought I could, too!  Besides, it'll help me keep track of how many journals I have.  I am way too easily enabled.

I'll come back when you call me

Wow, I haven't posted here in...well, a really long time.

Anyway, I'm sure no one has really missed me, but in case anyone does still watch this journal, here's a heads up.

I have moved to Dreamwidth! After Livejournal did their new site changes and all that junk this past December or whenever it was, it kind of really made things stupidly difficult for the LJRP scene. And since that's really all I used LJ for anyway, I felt no remorse in heading over there with all of my games and friends.

So as of this past January or whenever I left, this journal is no longer being used. I'm not deleting it because I might still occasionally need to use it for something, but for the most part, it's going to be quiet and collecting cobwebs some more.

However, if you want to still follow me over at DW, I'm here!  I've also ported all my posts (with the exception of a few really personal or silly things), so it's essentially still the same journal, but in a new location.

But if you don't, then it was a pleasure being here and knowing you guys.  And who knows, maybe we'll meet again somewhere!

Much love,

Another Byakuya/Hisana drabble/fic thing. Not beta'd or really looked over, but I'm just glad I finished something. Hopefully you all like it!

I wanted to write last night. So I did. And this came out. I haven't beta'd it, so hopefully it's not atrocious, but...I hope it's likable. Do tell me if it's really weird or horrid, though. I want to do some credit to this pairing, after all!

So.  My laptop has been in working shape again since Valentine's Day.  That power cord we ordered was the best present ever.  Okay, maybe chocolate ties.  I ate all of it, though...

FUNNY STORY.  The day after my computer died, my aunt (who is as old as my grandmother, yes I know my family is old, whatever) got really sick after a surgery.  To make things short, we visited her in the hospital and were told she had 24 hours.  Which, okay, sucks, but life doesn't go on forever.  I understand this, and though it's sad, I'm not dwelling on it.  She's had a long, hard life, but there's been a lot of good in it, too.  So I would call it a success.  And if God calls her home, then who are we to argue with that?  She's in pain here.  It's not fair to keep her out of selfishness.

Anyway.  The next morning she was doing so much better.  Still kind of out of it, but rather chatty.  However, I am not convinced she is completely clueless about what's going on, nor am I convinced she knows every detail.  I think she's in both worlds, just hanging on for something we don't know about just yet.

This is getting long, sorry!  Right now, she's in a hospice, but they feed their residents there, so it gave me really good vibes, as weird as that may sound.  And the nurses were kind to not only my aunt, but the rest of the family, so bonus points to them.

Now we're all playing the waiting game.  She could slip away at any moment or surprise us all and hang on for weeks, like her sister who passed away last year did.  Human life is amazing, that's all I can say.

But all in all, things are relatively back to normal.  Not that I update this thing very much anyway, lol.  Such is my lj life.

Right, so I got bored earlier today (and was distracting myself from the fact that being poor and unable to pay off loans sucks) and started reading Bleach fic.  I haven't really read it hardcore in a while, so it was nice to do it again.  Of course, I had to skim over some that were nice, but not good, and then stuff that just didn't grab my interest.

And then I found this.

And my gosh, I think it may have changed my life.  At least for the night.  Or the week.

I cannot stop gushing about this story, about how gorgeous the imagery is, how believable the characters are, how utterly heartbreaking and beautiful it is.  It's difficult to present Byakuya in a believable and sympathetic nature, and even more so to make the reader want more (or not, Byakuya is kind of amazing), but this fic captures him perfectly.  He's a broken man, not cold for the sake of being a jerk, and struggles moving on, just as anyone else would in his place.

Amazing.  Perfect.  I cannot stop going on about this.  It has very  nearly brought me to tears.

And that's always the best reaction you can get from me.  :)

Sorry to everyone on my flist who has just listened to me fangasm on AIM!  The sooner I get this out of my system, the less you'll have to deal with me, rofl.  <3

Title:  Still Time
Pairing:  Urahara/Ukitake (I realize this makes no sense, just go with it)
Rating:  PG-13 to R for...implied naughtiness?  And some included~
Summary:  Ukitake visits a friend and partakes in some much-deserved "relaxation."
Disclaimer:  I'm not Kubo.  I just play with his toys and hope I can make up a better plot than he does.  Don't worry, I put them back when I'm done.  Mostly not broken.  *cough*
A/N:  Written for a friend, wintaer , after we discovered how enjoyable our random escapades at adstringendum  really are.  Hope you like this!  And that I didn't butcher Urahara too much.

So my laptop charger has been acting up on me for the past few days.  It hasn't been charging, though it's been plugged in, and so I'd have to wiggle it around to make it find a spot where it WOULD charge.  Which was okay, I could get used to it if it stayed stable.

Yeah, you can all guess how stable it stayed.

So tonight while eating dinner (my family doesn't eat in the dining room, but in the living room, whatever, it's what we do) I noticed that my laptop wasn't charging.  At all.  No matter how much I twisted and turned the cord and tried whatever contortionist tricks I could think of.

Not.  A.  Drop.  Of.  Juice.

Naturally, I got pissed.  And some of you have heard my ranting and...yeah, let's leave it there.  I like to curse.

So my laptop is currently dead because the charger is dead or something and I am stuck on my mom's desktop which I'm terrified I will kill again because I am notorious for finding ways to stick viruses onto computers.

The rents ordered another cord that should be here by next week and I really, seriously hope that's the problem.  There's a part of me that's worried it's the port on my computer and not the charger.

This just sucks.  I was in a fic-writing groove and legit trying to get my Snow app done for hellpointe  before Friday and had my proofreading work done so I could take a guilt-free break and do fun stuff that I love to do.  And then this happens.

I really hope things turn around before the next event at adstringendum  because I am SO looking forward to it.

Just...sigh.  FML.

I am not sure how it happened, but I ship Urahara/Ukitake really freakin' hard right now.

No.  Wait.  I know exactly how it happened.  adstringendum  produces some high-quality crack from time to time.

My gosh, what is my life.
